When the Calypso Defense Force asked for the creation of a new handgun series for some of their elite branches, GeoTrek decided to continue the Darkness series. However, CDF did not like the reputation these handguns had throughout the Federal Empire. As a result, GeoTrek decided to create a new and more powerful CalyTrek Heavenly series. With more positive-sounding names and crammed full of high end technology, the handgun series was a success within the military. This of course lead to blueprints being leaked to the public as well, being sold to the highest bidder on the black market. Because the handguns are mainly used against robots and other threats, CDF has prevented Calypso Law Enforcement from pursuing those manufacturing copies of the weapons.
